Upcoming Antiques & Collectibles Shows

On Friday and Saturday, March 5 – 6, 2010, the Christ Church in Ridgewood, New Jersey will hold their 65th Annual Antiques Show & Sale.  This sale attracts about thousands of visitors from the Mid Atlantic area and forty antiques and collectibles dealers featuring antique furniture from Europe and America, vintage jewelry, silver, linens, china and porcelain as well as other vintage collectibles.  This show donates funds to Christ Church outreach ministries.

March 5-6, 2010, Washington Antiquarian Book Fair, Holiday Inn Rosslyn, Arlington, Virginia

March 6, 2010, Hometown Arts and Craft Show and Spring “Bling” Event, Ide Lee Park, Leesburg, Virginia

March 13-14, 2010, Annual Spring Antiques & Show Sale, West Morris High School, Mendham, New Jersey

March 19-21, 2010, Annual Charity Antiques Show & Sale, Waterfowl Festival Building, Easton, Maryland

Antiques in Alexandria is an antiques and collectibles show that is been completely run by volunteers since 1996.  This show, which will be held on Thursday – Sunday, March 11 – 13, 2010, features more than sixty dealers selling American and Continental furniture, silver, porcelain, fine art, vintage jewelry as well as garden furniture and other antique and vintage collectibles.  This shown donates funds to several good causes in the Northern Virginia area.

The Woman’s Club of Raleigh (WCR) will be holding their Spring Antiques Show & Sale at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh on Friday - Sunday, March 12 – 14, 2010.  This antiques show attracts many fine dealers from the Mid-Atlantic region and features antique furniture, fine art, antique and vintage porcelain, jewelry and decorative arts as well as other antique and vintage collectibles.

Upcoming Auctions

Oprah Winfrey will be selling things from her closet on the online auction site EBay from March 1 -11, 2010. This auction will feature a Barry Kiesselstein-Cord handbag, and shoes from famous designers such as Prada, Jimmy Choo and Ralph Lauren. Proceeds from this auction will go to benefit the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy in South Africa.


A few more models, stars and celebrities are also participating in Clothes Off Our Backs charity auctions to help the victims of Haiti and other worthy causes.  The stars and celebrities include Christie Brinkley, Jennifer Anniston, William Shatner, Liam Neeson and Alan Alda.  The Christie Brinkley auction runs until March 11, 2010.


Artists from around the globe are participating with Christie’s Auction House in New York for the Green Auction.  This auction which will feature artwork from such artists as Damien Hirst, Keith Tyson and Maya Lin will benefit four environmental charities including Oceana, Central Park Conservancy, Natural Resources Defense Council and Conservation International.
